Right after my husband and I got married back in 2011, we took an incredible honeymoon that changed our goals forever. It all started in Venice, Italy and it hasn’t stopped since. I absolutely head over heels fell in love with traveling.
By making travel a priority in our lives, we’ve been able to visit 17 countries and 100+ cities together.
I started this blog because I always had a hard time finding good photos of places I wanted to visit. I enjoy getting inspiration for itineraries through city photography and I just wasn’t seeing it.
So I set out to create my own. That’s why you’ll find that my posts are somewhat image-heavy from the architecture down to the food. I love showing you as many angles of a city as I can so you can get a better idea of what you’d like to see in person and what you can skip.
Honestly, showing you a destination through my lens is one of my biggest joys.
This blog is a combination of everything I know; my background in journalism and marketing, plus my passion for travel and photography.
Funny fact: I never formally learned how to use a camera. The more I travel, the more I learn what angles I like and what lighting is best. Also, you’ll notice I’m rarely in front of the lens. That’s because the photos aren’t about me, they’re about the city I’m in.
I do not travel full time and would not want to. I’m happy having a home base and playing board games on the couch sometimes, ya know?
I work remotely doing marketing/advertising and everything that has to do with that world, and I dedicate a lot of time to this blog. My husband, Jorge/Porge/Gorge, is a 9-5 engineer but he helps me with the blog as much as possible. He’s pretty amazing.
We live in the beautiful city of Chicago. Have you been? You should come!
We love spending our downtime trying new restaurants and cafes, watching comedies, fostering dogs, and dog sitting. Did I mention dogs?
When I’m not busy doing everyday life, I’m dreaming up new places to visit and planning some incredible trips. So, here I am sharing how we make it work, how you can make it work, and how a little careful planning can get you across the world.
