About Me

After my husband and I married in 2011, we took an incredible honeymoon that changed our goals forever. I fell head over heels for traveling. It all started in Venice, Italy, and it hasn’t stopped since.

We made travel a priority, even though we’re not full-time travelers. Since then, we’ve visited 21 countries and 150+ cities together. We enjoy exploring beyond the main city in every country we visit, which is why our city count is so high. Smaller towns are my favorite!

But here’s the thing: we don’t have unlimited vacation time, unlimited money, or unlimited energy. We work, we have real lives at home, and our trips have to fit into the time we actually have.

That’s what you’ll find here. I share realistic itineraries, thoughtful trip ideas, scenic drives, places to stay, and the travel decisions I’ve learned over years of exploring.

This blog combines everything I know: my journalism and marketing background, my love for travel, and my interest in photography. I work in advertising, and I dedicate a lot of time to this site. My husband is a 9-5 engineer (think robots) and has cheered me on with this passion project since day one.

We live in the beautiful city of Chicago. Have you been? You should come! In our downtime, we love trying new restaurants and cafes in our hometown, exploring new places in the city, watching sitcoms, and fostering dogs.
