31 Photos That Will Inspire Your Trip to Prague

Prague

Prague is often referred to as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and they are not kidding! It’s one of the few cities that is pretty everywhere you turn, every corner you take, every tower you climb — it has no bad angles. Here are 31 photos that will definitely inspire you to add Prague to your bucket list.

My favorite building in all of Prague, you can find it in the main square.

More About Prague

-Get a Prague tower pass to see almost every corner of the city from above. All we did was go to one of the towers and buy the tickets in person. If you have your college ID you’ll get a nice discount. Be prepared for steps though, some towers have hundreds.

-The city is walkable, but also well connected by train. We followed this self-walking tour and loved the views along the way: Most Scenic Walk.

-We stayed in two different Airbnb’s and loved them both, but only one is still available and I’m linking it HERE. You can save $40 off your first Airbnb booking by clicking HERE.

-Besides our Airbnb hosts, the people of Prague weren’t the most welcoming (in our experience), but that didn’t take away from how gorgeous the city is to explore. People from the small town of Cesky Krumlov were soo much nicer, more on that town very soon.

-Beer is cheaper than water. When we ate at Czech restaurants, beer was the first thing they offered us. One waitress even opened with “beer?” when she first came to our table lol. I hate beer so I had to splurge on water.

Where to Eat in Prague

We weren’t fans of the Czech food, but here are a few other places that stood out to us.

Alforno Focacceria Italiana– Owner is from Italy and had delicious dishes to choose from.

Café Palanda– Great burgers! A popular place among locals.

Zebra Express– One night we were really hungry and not much was open but this Thai place. We were very hesitant because it has “express” in the name, but funny enough it turned out to be the best Thai food we’ve ever had. We went back later that week!

Trdelník Don’t leave without trying this famous pastry! It’s made from rolled dough and topped with sugar and cinnamon. You can even add ice cream or other toppings if desired.

We also found the Starbucks with the prettiest view in the world! Good luck trying to get a window seat.

Not sure if they always have a market going on, but we found one near the Starbucks and enjoyed some small bites.

You can also rent little private boats to take in the views from the water.

People suggested that we watch the sunrise/sunset from the Charles Bridge, and though beautiful, it was always packed, didn’t matter the hour. We visited mid-May. Our favorite view of the bridge was from above.

I LOVE Prague! I live not too far away in Germany and have been several times, but I could always go back. How on Earth did you get photos of the main square without so many tourists?! I need to wake up early and get some great pictures on the Charles River Bridge one day.

Prague hasn’t been in my periphery but after seeing these images, I have to admit, it’s inching itself closer up top.
